Description

Advanced Peer Skills Training is designed to develop advanced core skills for peer supporters, who have been working or volunteering in the field of peer support for at least 3 months.

This training is a great vehicle for refreshing initial training, re-visiting core values, ethics and philosophies of Peer/Recovery Support and engage in “Stepping up” practices to take your skill to the next level.

Section One focuses on personal development - It’s important to take time to look closely at ourselves and take stock of what we are becoming and where we are in our quest to develop our own potential.

Section Two focuses on further skill development.  In conversations about recovery, we usually talk about the content and the context – both being equally important. The content includes how we are being and what we are doing to further the recovery journey for ourselves and others. The context is focused on environmental issues, such as culture, levels of consciousness, and acceptance of uniqueness and differences.

If you are a resident of California, you may be eligible for grant scholarship to take this class.  If you would like to explore this, please stop this registration and contact:  RIC.HCAI@Riinternational.com.  If you are eligible, the California team will direct you to next steps.  If you are not eligible, we welcome your registration here and look forward to seeing you in class soon.
