Pierce County Community Building Program

Community Building Program has the pleasure of supporting participants that have struggled with mental health challenges in transitioning from the Residential Treatment Facilities into a home of their choice within the community along with providing a rent subsidy. The Program utilizes Peer Recovery Coaches, a Recovery Navigator (MHP), a Recovery Educator, a Resource Specialist, a Registered Nurse and a Prescriber in supporting participants through hope, choice, empowerment, spirituality and recovery environment in pursuing their goals of having a home and working towards self-sufficiency.  Prior to transitioning into the community, our team supports the participants in completing their Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Wellness & Empowerment in Life and Living (WELL), Home is Where the Heart Is and Medication for Success classes. Once the participant has transitioned into the community, the Community Building Program becomes their Outpatient Behavioral Health Provider of Support and we continue to support them within the nine dimensions of wellness in pursuing their hopes and dreams on their recovery journey.
